We single flared my dads 32 and everything worked, no leaks.

Thanks, but I will still be double flaring my stainless brake lines.

Stainless is harder, not softer, than regular steel, and that is why it is somewhat more difficult to bend and flare. I have yet to have a stainless line split.

I have single flared my 3/8" fuel lines, but they are JIC/AN/37 degree flares, and I am using the proper fittings, tube nuts, and tube sleeves, these tube sleeves provide additional support to a single flared line to reduce the likelihood of cracking the flare off.

I think to be legal brake lines need to be double flared when used with 45 degree fittings. And even if I legally don't have to, I am more comfortable doing it that way, and they are my brakes.

Thanks,
Grigg
