Ron, you've got bendix brakes on your '51, right? Did you do a "major brake adjustment" as described in the factory shop manual or just the standard adjustment? The "major" adjustment should be done when shoes are replaced. Did you surface the drums or just clean them? Did you check the i.d. of the drums before installing? Within spec.?
