If you can't easily find a '46 2-ton frame, measure the width of the frame where it is cut off. I'd bet you can find one that could be grafted on and replacing the back half of the frame will be a lot less work than adapting everything under the cab....
I've seen an Art Deco truck mounted on an Advance Design frame that came out okay, but it had so many modifications that it could not have been easy and cheap wasn't part of the plan. In that case the front fenders might have been widened, though I no longer remember.
I've also seen a larger Art Deco mounted on a 70's truck frame and it had most the common issues that kind of swap causes. The owner was pretty happy with it, but this was another case where cheap was not one of the important objectives. He was running a big block and an automatic and I would have to say I liked that truck.
Put a parts wanted ad in the swap meet. Someone bulding a hot rod will have just what you need for little or nothing.
