I am having quite a time with my carb. I rebuilt it several weeks ago and it worked fine. A few days ago it started flooding and I am unsure why. I have disassembled it again, bought another kit for it from NAPA this time and really can't find anything wrong. The only thing I think it might be is the holes where the pin slips through for the float pivot point are very badly worn. I am wondering if the excessive slop might allow the float to get twisted on the side of the bowl and not shut off the needle. Any thoughts on this, or if this could be the problem, how to correct? I was thinking of using epoxy glue and glueing the pin to the worn holes. It would be difficult to remove the pin in the future if one were to do this, but I have to get it fixed. This carb is on a 63 292 Chevrolet grain truck that is still used during harvest. Any advice appreciated.
