Cheapest swap is to go with a 14 bolt full floater from a late model 3/4 or 1 ton. You can easily find one with 3.73 gears. There are even a few with 3.42 gears. You will have to be careful with the width if you have a pickup bed, with a flat bed it's no big deal. Also, some late model wheels have deeper setback.
