Dusty - you are right, the huck brakes were still around in '49.

The '47 also had a hand parking brake while the '49 has a foot pedal parking prake.

The '47 had the gas tank under the bed (no tank in the cab) while the '49 was the first year for the tank in the cab.

I know that the '49 has the link suspension for the rear cab mounts that is similar to at least 50-53's. I "think" the '47 has a central mount in the middle of the back of the cab, but I have only ever looked in passing in wrecking yards as I have never owned a '47
