The main difference between a 1954 car 235 and truck 235 is the car engine has hydraulic lifters with the Powerglide transmission. There were a few other "cosmetic" differences.

The standard truck 235 was about 112 gross hp and the various versions of the car 235 were about 115-150 hp (Corvette at 150, I think). The Corvette 235 had mechanical lifters, a 261 cam, and 3 side-draft carburetor.

All the 1954 235s developed about 200 ft-lb of torque
