My ’61 had a 235 out of a car in it, and it was a very powerful engine. It would take you uphill at 70 miles an hour – and still be able to push you to the back of the seat! And it wasn’t wound out. Whenever my great-uncle would drive the truck he would say, “are you sure you don’t have a V8 hidden under there?!” I never could figure why it did that, as everything I have ever heard as said that those trucks just shouldn’t be able to do that - but it did. When I went through the truck, I found out that everything in it was original – except for the engine.

So, anyway, that must be why my motor was so powerful – it was from a car.
