I found a guy in our little burg who used to work for Auto Glass Specialists so I thought I would hire him to put the windshield in my 49 Sub. He came over last Tuesday and spent most of the afternoon trying to get it done and could never do it. He took the glass and the seal ( Steele Rubber) back to his shop to try to figure it out. Since then I have discovered in my shop manual reprint how to do it and am wondering if it is really that easy. My guy is young (thirtyish) and he tells me he has never seen a windshield installation like this. Anybody out there ever put a windshield in an AD? Can I do this myself? Any tricks? One man job?
