Had the same issue with my C10. The oil bath air cleaner is probably clogged up, and it was very unhappy until I re-installed the little chrome air cleaner the PO had on there when I bought it.
I had to futz with fuel/air, idle & timing to get it running well again. I'd still like to use the oil bath setup, but it obviously needs a good cleaning
