It a matter of choice. My 49 3/4 ton had a 216 which did it fine for years pulling loads on the farm and running back and forth to town. Now that it is purely used for in town trave the 216 still works great unless I'm trying to push it. I also have a 235 ready to go when the 216 gets tired but till then I agree - Don't fix it if it isn't broke.
