I finally got around to looking in my MoToR Manual, and Mugsy has all the measurements correct. The book says CR44N for the plugs in '69 rather than C42N, though.
I don't think you have an auto trans, but if you did you'd want to set the timing to TDC rather than 4 degrees before, with the distributor vacuum hose disconnected and plugged in either case.
Hot idle speed 700 rpm for auto trans, 550 for manual.
