There was another topic on here where an individual mentioned checking a speedometer cable a drill. This sounds like an excellent idea and I may need to try that since my speedometer does not work.
However, before I go that route. Is it possible for a speedometer not to work but have the odometer function fine? Thats my situation. The odometer continues to clock miles all while the speedo sits at zero. Does this sound more like an instrument issue versus cable?
The other question is, if you do pull the cable from the trans, do you need to be prepared for gear lube to start seeping out of the trans. Thanks.
