Well, the original truck was a one-ton, so I'm hoping it'll carry the weight. I've already reinforced the frame just for good measure.
As far as computer system, I've been talking to a company that converts the duramax for marine use. They tell me they will be marketing a plug-in system for the duramax that will only require a constant 12v source, a switched 12v source and a ground wire. Their system will be available in either 650 or 850 HP versions (I think I'll get the 850 HP version!). This package was unveiled at SEMA last year and should be available fairly soon (I was told 1st quarter of '08).
I'm hoping to be able to surprise a lot of people once I get this thing on the road.
