Hey we're almost neighbors. I'm in Reno. I have a 46 with 20 inch wheels. I got some very nice 6.50-20 tires from a place in Tennessee, and I think they have a warehouse in Fresno also. They are at
www.cokertire.com (catalog) and their service was very good. I now have 4 very nice mud & snow 7.50s on there (obtained at a junkyard)because the 6.50s gear your truck down too much. I also saw a 7.50-20 Firestone on Ebay - are those Chinese? I don't know. As far as changing to one-piece rims...why? If you have split rims and they're not too rusty I can show you how to change them. I know some tire shops are terrified of the "widow makers" but I change them myself all the time and I have not had my head chopped off yet. I think the hazard is part myth. I can help you change them if that is your worry. I have wondered if you could simply weld the split rim onto the rim. -But again, I just don't think it's necessary. -John
