My 1956 panel was bought by the US Army. It still has the plate on the glove box door. It is a six lug 1/2 ton but has over sized spindles and bearings in the front. I mention this because when I
measured the gas tank it is about 11.5" X 11.5" X 48"! With the usual indents, I think it holds about 22 or 23 gallons. It sits
inside the right hand frame rail. Is this set up normal for this truck or is this something that the Army special ordered? Thanks.
