The truck was run in 3rd gear(out of 4). The technician had it in reverse the first couple of times) and it ran at approx. 25 m.p.h. The weight as tested was about 3170 pounds (1438 kilograms). It took a while for them to figure the Cu.in. conversion. They figured at 3.6 Liters. The standards are for pre 1960. The allowable amount is approx. 4.9% my reading was at about 7.3%. Should I play around with fuel changes etc.? Will a new carb (Chevs of the 40's - $160 plus core) bring levels to where they are supposed to be?
