I have a '55 4400 truck with a 235 engine. The engine is shot. I have another '56 235 engine in a '37 Chevy 1.5 ton truck made into a tractor. It runs, and I am swaping that engine into the '55. I pulled the head on the engine to give the head the once over before it goes into the truck. I checked the cylinders for roundness, and have come up with a average number of 3.567" bore. My Motors manual says the bore of the 235 is 3.452". Is this a misprint??? I am reading the mics right, and my tools are not inaccurate, at least that much. Could the 235 be bored out 0.100"? The cylinders are round, the pistons fit well, and bores are smooth.
Any thoughts on this???
