I've been prowling around the last couple of days and I would like to say, "Hi," and, "Thank you," to everyone I've met so far on the forum.
Anyhow, about me. I'm a young guy, only 31, but I've always loved trucks. In fact, some of my earliest memories are riding around in my grandfather's Ford grain truck. I'm not real brand specific, I like Fords, Chevy's, Dodges, IH's, and anything that resembles a truck. I've owned alot of different vehicles and had alot of projects. Unfortunately, I never finished any of them. I would like to change that soon. My current project is a 54 Chevy 3600 truck. I fell in love at first sight! My original idea was to hot rod the truck, but the longer I have the truck the more I lean towards original. The truck is complete, with the exception of radio, everything is present and accounted for. Heck, it even has the glass windshield washer jar! The truck has been somewhat restored by a previous owner. Unfortunately the restore job consists of about 10 gallons of Bondo and a paint job that looks like it was done in a dirt floored barn. I plan on doing some upgrades such as a Dana 60 or 14 bolt rearend, possibly a T5, and a good engine overhaul with a mild cam. Of course I plan on doing a complete blast job and paint job, but that will have to wait awhile.
Anyhow, glad to meet you all.
