very little heat involved, an immense amount of skill ... body solder has a good "plastic range", and it's more the solder that's heated, the metal is just hot enough to let it stick as it's worked
but the object of the game nowadays is to do good enough metal work to not need lead, spend yer learning time on the metal, not lead
