I'd put a little light oil in each spark plug hole before I spun it, if it was me. A couple of teaspoons at most. The idea is to wet the rings and walls as you crank it.
You may foul the plugs a bit when you finally start it, but they're easy to clean. Why risk ring/cylinder damage for the price of a plug?
