Replacing the torque tube rear end and 3 speed tranny in my 48 half ton. Measured the stock rear end before removing, to know how far back to set the new mounts to center the tire in the fender. My measurement shows I need to set the center of the new 9 inch axel 4 1/2 inches to the rear of the center pin. Bought a set of "off set axel mounts" from No Limit Engineering. They are only off set 2 inches.

On the original touque tube rear end the mounts are not directly under the axel tube, but about 2 inches in front, so with my No Limit off set mounts the new 9 inch rear end will be in the same position as the original torque tube.

I am not understanding something??
