a few questions in one...
are all 261's full pressure oilers? i just read an article in the tech section explaining how to turn a 261 into a FPO. which years were and were not. is the '57 i am considering an FPO, i really want to avoid a babbit pounder
can anyone tell me where to find engine specs for a '57 261. i am in the process of purchasing the engine and the gent who is selling is doing a compr and oil press test for me..i also need to know the weight of the full engine, no bell housing clutch or trans. this is for shipping purposes.
while i am at it, can anyone recommend a good freight company. so far AAA Cooper is the best priced, but the are a hand off shipper and turn the motor over to NEMF. not that i mind but non stop would be best.
