Actually I have seen a few and knew one owner that had one with a factory GM 2.8 V6 in it. Later GM came out with a 3.4 rear wheel drive engine as a replacement. You could put them in Rodeos or early Jeep Cherokee. He had the newer 3.4 installed and it ran like a scaulded hound. You can still buy that engine from Chevrolet. It has 40 more hp and way more torque than the ole' 2.8. They were mainly for carb engines but they told me at the dealer that a cam swap would make it much better for TBI. Otherwise you would have a bit of hesitation when you first take off. Aside from that they ran really well. Almost bought one. His was an automatic and the others were stick except for one. Later they put in their own Isuzu engines in them. The 3.4 rear wheel drive was better than the Isuzu engine. Just some info. Plus all you need would be a set up from a Rodeo or Trooper that had the V6 emblem and had the GM engines in them.
