For helping keep this great
old truck web site
on the Internet for over 30 years! and not clogged down with Ads! Again, thanks! | | | | Joined: Feb 2008 Posts: 26 Wrench Fetcher | | Wrench Fetcher Joined: Feb 2008 Posts: 26 | New here and looking for some help. I'm looking at a restored '51 1/2 ton. Question is the bedsides, on the outside of the (lower)bedside I see 2 'dimples'(welds) between the bed post and the front of the fender. Are these welds from the inner bed supports? I think I remember asking I guy at a show once that had a restored original about this and I think he said it was how they were. This is a California truck and I believe it may have the original bedsides. Do most people fill these in?? The truck was restored about 4 years ago. The pictures I have are very clear and the truck looks very straight and clean. I'd attach a picture if I knew how. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks
