I would like to know how adjusting the brakes make a difference during a panic stop. The adjustment determines how much the shoes have to move to contact the drum. In a panic stop they are well passed that. Maybe, if the shoes were too tight on one wheel, that wheel might not show too much braking force because the shoes and drum would be over heated.
