8 3104 6 00042 should mean:
1958 [< if it was a TF series] model 3104 [½T pu] 6 cyl equipped, serial# 00042
unless they changed the year designation digit somehow before the 1955 2nd series

maybe the C on the engine number is for Canada? the rest of it is serial number, but should also say if it's solid or hydraulic lifters [truck or car]
