OK, last year I picked up a NOS fram oil filter for a 42 Olds. I wanted to install this on my 216 in my 46 Chevy 1/2 ton however, I did not have the correct mounting bracket. The engine in the truck is a rebuilt 48. Last week a guy gave me a bunch of cast off parts he had left over from his attempted restoration of a 52 3100 panal truck. In the junk was what I figure to be the correct mounting bracket for my engine. Before I do this I have some questions for the experts, who frequent this site.
1. The filter is supposed to hang off the intake manifold, correct?
2. If so should it be in front or behind the carb?
3. Will it pay to add this filter?
4. Where do the lines hook up to the engine (a diagram or picture would be helpful) ?
