Here's a drawing of what I found out on my tour of the yard yesterday. I don't have a digital camera but I can make line drawings.
Bolt holes 1 and 3 are for the 261 generator bracket which is about 1" longer than 216/older 235 bracket. I can elongonate a hole on my old bracket and make it work like 4ontheFloor said.
When the 261 is in a larger 2T truck, holes 1,2 and 4 are used for a side motor mount which bolts over the generator bracket. The three holes at the "7" must be for some kind of center motor mount (COE?). Holes 5 and 6 are for the oil lines. Thanks, everyone!!!
