Thank you for your reply...I did not say that it had the stock motor and transmission...only stock rear end. I know the motor is a 292 and I know the transmission is a Powerglide since I know the person that did the swap.
About this 700r4 or 4l60 option...I guess I'm not very familiar with those, but they should bolt up to the 292? If that is true, would I still need to change the rear end gears?
As for the gearing, are there any particular model '67-'73 vehilces I should be looking for, as in trucks (1/2, 3/4, ton) 4x4 car?
