A few month back I had posted a similar question. The rear end swap is one option...a 67-72 with a 4:11 pinaple. But the tranny swap to a 700R4??? Wanting to keep a mannual tranny, what is another option? Also Steve has a good recomendation of swiching one piece at a time. I have a 4:57 rear in my 3/4 ton and will try the tranny swap first to see how it does? Engine is a 261.
Anybody done a newer tranny with original 4:56 rear?
