| | | | Joined: Feb 2007 Posts: 385 Wrench Fetcher | | Wrench Fetcher Joined: Feb 2007 Posts: 385 | Just be sure to check your exhaust manifold heat riser valve. You should be able to see the spring down below the carburetor. It looks just like a small hood spring.
The heat riser valve on my 1955 IH 1/2 ton got stuck closed once and my carburetor turned into a solid block of ice. It was quite noticeable because cylinders started missing, one at a time, until there were maybe two left and I decided to pull over and investigate.
