The pressure plate that I used was the one that came with my 261, an 11" unit. The old 216 pressure plate would not have bolted to the 261 flyweel, and vice versa. The pressure plate on my 261 is so big that the edge of the plate matches up with the edge of the flywheel. It was a job to get it all to fit in the bellhousing, I had to do some creative manipulating because the whole assembly was so tall (and heavy). If your 216 came with the 10-1/2" optional clutch it it probably big enough for the 261 and you can use the 216 flywheel, the bolt circle, balance, and diameter is the same.
