I had a 305 in one of those so called "muscle cars" of the mid 80's. Like someone said earlier, " it'll get you from point A to point B". If your DD isn't going to haul or tow often, it will do exactly that, A to B. Don't push it too hard, stock they just don't have the guts for it. I have one in my garage and had the same thought as you... use it in my truck. Glad I looked in because I was reminded of what a dog that 305 is. Sticking with my 350.
