I'm not sure what your red line is on a 235, but I would think that with the right gears you should be able to do 65 - 75 mph. GMONIZ is right; if you want to go fast, be sure your brakes wheels and that front end will be up to freeway speeds. A V8 with modern trans and rear differential would be a big step up and make cruisin' at highway speeds easy. If you can do the work yourself, the transplants costs can be kept way down.
