I'm not currently having any electrical problems but I mentioned changing from 6v to 12v to a tractor buff I know. He said there are ways to adjust certain 6v generators to give 8 or 10 volts. He said he's done this several times on tractors and says the coil will run hot but hasn't burned any up yet. Does this sound possible? What else would you change, voltage regulator? What advantage is there to doing this?
