The Stovebolt Site Forums The Shop Area Engine Shop 59 chev 3200 rear-end problems

I have a 59 3200...noticed a wheel bearing seal leaking and thought I would pull the axels and put new seals, bearing etc...Pulled the cover off the differential and its quite a mess in there..needs new bearings, side gears, spider gears, and the pinion had gotten into the carrier housing pretty good..to the point of making it hard to get the spider shaft out...also where the spider and side gears run is pretty scored up..even the axels are worn where the bearings ride..Would like to hear some opions on whether I need to try and find a whole rear with housing and rebuild it or try to fix what I got...
