You're OK, but the heater doesn't HEAT the water it's just a vehicle for the heat via the heater core which is a mini radiator which radiates heat into the cab. You adjust the heat via a cable which limits or shuts off the hot water coming from the heated water in the engines internal water jackets. You'll get your heat... oh wait a minute.. I think I know what you're talking about....what if you DON'T HAVE THE HEATER ON... IS THE WATER STILL GOING TO CIRCULATE?
I think most people run a separate heating loop which is what I have planned for my Edelbrock conversion.
