Ok I just came in from checking the timing it's at about 12 BTDC, @ 10 I get some good backfire. Right now I get a little tin can sounding backfire, again I get backfire letting off the gas completely at a high RPM in gear. I have dual exhaust, no cats, MSD6A and run at least 88 octane. I like running it a little close to ping about 20 BTDC no backfire then, But alot of people includeing I think it was Chip said to run it at spec set with a light. So I compromised and set it at 12. Anyway I'm gonna take the silenoid off and check it.
