I did something similar. I pulled the TPI fuel injected 350 out of my IROC. However, I elected to save $400 bucks for the Painless stand-alone wiring harness for the L98 TPI. You might contact them and see if they make something for your TBI 454.
One thing I think you'll have issues with is the width of the 454. Although I do think it will fit between the framerails, you may only have room for the stock iron exhaust manifolds. However, you'll also have to scrap the stock steering system and modify that...one of the bigger hassles of the job.
My small block swap barely has 3 inches available to the framerails for an exhaust system. 2 1/2" if I shim over the stock steering box as far as it will go. You've got lots of room on top, but severely limited on the sides.
