You can also use a ribbed rubber material that is often used for floor mats. It's sold by the yard. I used some for the floor mat in my 38 coupe. Post or send me your e-mail addy & I'll send you a pic. I've seen some similar stuff in hardware stores that's pretty thin. The stuff I used is about 1/4" thick to the top of the rib & 1/8" at the bottom. I've seen several cars & trucks at area shows that used the stuff on their running boards and they looked pretty good.
