Thanks for the kind words! My axle came from Sids, it is a 3 inch drop. I measured carefully and anything over 3 would put too much below the scrub line. The stock axle is already dropped 4 inches from horizontal so adding 3 inches means a 7 inch drop, so, a 15 inch wheel is 1/2 below the line, a 16 is 1 inch.
I parted out a 68 chevy van for the rear end which is a 12 bolt with a 3.72 (?) ratio. It was a 6 lug which I had drilled for the 5 on 4 3/4 pattern to match the 5 lug disc brake kit on front. It measures 61 inches amd is a greast fit.
I have the parts in hand for power steering. I bought the conversion kit from the former Chevy Duty. I am keeping the stock steering shaft cut off with a bearing inserted at the bottom. A universal and shaft to connect to ps box on front of frame.
