I sorry my quick answer on the Stovebolt page was made from my faulty memory. The metal bracket inside the door is on the hinge side and is held to the door my three large machine screws that have a "Tee" nut in the long triangle vertical wood piece below the belt line. . That same bracket is also riveted with the flat rivets and the spot welds to the doorskin/frame. The wood horizontal piece that is the bottom of the window exterior side is screwed to the metal bracket with three screws from the exterior side of the wood and can't be removed because of the door skin. That is why you have to remove the metal bracket. I can send you a drawing of where all the pieces fit and what order to assemble them in. Need your postal address. The wood piece above the window also has a screw from the exterior side that is hidden that hold it to the vertical door post.
