The wood around the window opening and rear (latch) post can only be removed and installed by removing the vertical metal bracket riveted and spot welded to the door sheet metal skin at the rear middle edge off the door. There are three flat headed rivets and about 5 spot welds. The metal door skin is also nailed to all the wood frame work and they also have to be removed too. Look at the rear area of the door around the latch and if you clean that area ( about 16") you will be able to find the three flat rivet heads and the 4-6 small dimples at the spot welds; drill all of the to remove.
