And working on several pieces at one time, this keep the heat down and you have no warping. Soda is a HUGE mess you will have a very hard time getting it all out of the metal and seams. Plus if any moisture gets to it , have fun. Been there and done that never again. Plastic beads are one route but much slower. So price goes up. These old trucks have some stout steel in them and will take much more abuse than the new coke can stuff they use. Make sure you are ready to prime when you get the parts home. Upol self etching would be the primer of choice. it is a filler and can be reduced to the point where it becomes a sealer.
