A Carter W-1 (Carter made 128 different W-1 carbs) was original equipment in 1941 on Chevrolet, both passenger and truck. The W-1 was Carter's standard 1-barrel during this time, and is an excellent carburetor.

Carter released the YF in 1950. This carb was one of the finest (possibly the finest) 1 barrel carbs ever made. Again, Carter made hundreds of different ones, for many different size engines. YF carbs were very advanced, and continued to be used up through the mid-1980's on other brands.
