Your Tru-Value hardaware store stocks quite an assortment of chemicals you can't find at Walmart or the big home stores. Like TSP in powder form, muratic acid, washing soda, and more.
I just used a rubermaid tote with some baking soda and it has worked quite well for small parts. Go for it!
