Structurally its just as tough. The main reason the 9" is prefered is in gear changing at the track. It takes much longer to swap gears on the fly with a 12 bolt. Where as with a 9" just drop in a new center section. I would use the 12 bolt before dropping big bucks on a 9. A car 12 bolt is not the same a truck 12, parts will not swap. | | |
