Man I hope not. That is how my truck is setup. I can't imagine why you couldn't unless the axle was dropped so much you couldn't get the tie rod to run under the truck. If that was the case you could always drop the steering arms to get the tie rod to drop down lower.
All of this takes very careful planning so you can still steer the truck.
