That tis why I would sugest a 1960+ body style GM. . .plenty of room for diesel coversion's atleast the 5.9L/6.7L cummins appear's to have room enough to drop right in. . .
Tho i haven't meaured out the trans but reconfiguring the floor should be that tough. . .
